　SHORT LENGTH physically may be due to pieces sloughing off as it rots while attached, being eaten alive by feasting corkscrew demons, or shrunk from internal urethral scarring (Peyronie's Disease), or suggest that the sufferer tried to slice off the really bad parts, as was a common medical practice to at least prevent death (caution: don't try that at home).
　Another possibility, considering that most of these glyphs have some alternative reference to sex, often as a joke no less, elements as a DART with THE BEAN suggest not engaging with a female partner sufficiently in foreplay, hence a SHORT OR BRIEF TIME, TO LACK an ability, a WEAK POINT, a FAULT, and perhaps SHORT LENGTH referring to a short penis, the dart rather than an arrow.

It is unknown exactly how high or tall the takatsuki, a「tall clay bowl」used in Japan really was (didn't the Chinese create these glyphs?), a pot on a one-legged stand (seems pretty stupid and unstable) placed beside a low table for serving, and scholars say, a pot used for serving beans, not rice…which is strange for Asian cultures, not to mention that folks normally sat on the floor to eat and not on chairs surrounding a table, so who would need a tall pot? maybe, the tall pot was in fact fairly short, and arrows were supposed to be longer than the pot was high…so, arrows only as long as the tall pot was high were deemed too SHORT, the scholars say, without regard to the length of the bow used with the arrows. And, it does seem strange that a glyph meaning SHORT uses elements representing something tall (the pot, remember). Moreover, those elements that have nothing to do with a BRIEF LENGTH OF TIME, TO LACK an ability, a WEAK POINT, or a FAULT (the initial meanings).
　Nevertheless, elements include「head sliding with array of spurting with divine service providers (吴)」that signals a BRIEF time, and while many human males may brag otherwise, the average time to orgasm from start of copulation is under three minutes…other species must ejaculate much faster than that to avoid predation and rivals.「Head sliding with array of spurting while ingesting alcohol (吞)」suggests a WEAK POINT, a FAULT, failure to achieve the objective due to「shortcomings.」
