[Elements vary by font]「Erection, pride, put out, thrust out a penis」with lower element「snared」that was formerly either「copulating in enclosure」(四) with fleshpot (貝) or「buy, netting money」(買) from the perspective of the seller, as SELLING. Literally to「net money by snaring erections」: there is no doubt that sex sells (especially when selling sex).
　「Proud of 'putting out' for others to buy」a good or a service.「Penile erection」with the simplified lower element of「surround」with「copulating」and referred to SELLING the services of the world's first and oldest profession, that of highly skilled and trained sex workers, for a「superior fluid flow」experience.
　In Chinese, this glyph still means to sell, show off, to flaunt as in flaunting one's body for sale (or more commonly, a short-term rental) to attract clients. Or, means to betray, treachery (cheat on one's spouse, perhaps, or「selling out your partner」).
　Center element was「enclosed copulation」or「copulation in orifice」as in to capture or captivate a person by squatting like an animal in a pen while humping another from behind as do non-human animals while copulating,「surrounded on all sides and squatting on all fours, ensnaring, snagging.」
　As an element in other glyphs, morphs into「penile redundancy」as「penis action exceeding what is necessary or natural.」「Penis and superfluous」of course literally refers to an「outstanding flow of fluid」that is more than necessary under the circumstances when「surrounded by copulation.」

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language.
