Glyph elements  [ Toggle Font ]

Meanings of elements
BENEVOLENT but LOOSE DRIPPING AND STINKY
…or: TWO BUDDHISTS
…or: PERSON with TWO LOOSE AND DRIPPING
…or: KERNEL, CORE is STINKY LOOSE AND DRIPPING
…or: PERSON with SOMETHING TO SAY
…or: PERSON with INTERCOURSE
In Chinese:「benevolent but loose, dripping and stinky」or「person with a cloud」is someone likely to TRANSMIT a sexually TRANSMISSIBLE infection or disease that PROPAGATES in one's genitals and elsewhere, someone who should be REPORTED to others, and SUMMONED to the infirmary, and who should REPORT to potential partners about that unhealthy condition.
In Japanese: a「person with something to say」or to REPORT, to relate LEGENDS of past TRADITIONS, noting that it is not a coincidence the old element of「speak, say, naming」means「intercourse」as it also does in English.「Person」with「two loose and dripping」will at times TRANSMIT one thing or another, cause a TRANSMISSION, something TRANSMITTED from one to the others.
a CONNECTION WITH SOMEONE TRUSTED, and TEACHING AND INTRODUCING how to PROPAGATE, that literally means 'causing an organism to multiply or breed offspring.' Chinese versions (, ) refer directly to「one's father as a tutor」who relates TRADITIONAL methods teaching how to propagate the human species (see , , , , , , , 𢢫, , ).
Glyph is normally related to an abstract noun such as knowledge, data, reputation, news, energy, legends, illness, power, or anything that also might be conceived in a form that is「cloudlike and slowly spreads wider and wider.」Note that many old LEGENDS are about gods, demons, spirits and such that purportedly live or ride in the「clouds.」
 「Two Buddhas」speaks for itself, perhaps.
Chinese sources describe the non-JIS glyph 𠫔 as an old elemental form of「talented arm (with hand)」(), resulting in「person with array of talented meat in arms and hands.」

Always keep in mind that these glyphs were originally created by groups of clever old men as vulgar riddles and analogies for their own entertainment (see 籒 for that) and represented Chinese society many thousands of years ago, and not as a written or spoken language. If these glyphs had been intended for language use, the sages could not have possibly designed a worse system. Is it truly possible that all these glyphs started out as off-color jokes and puzzles? Yes! It is! Sex had no shame in ancient China. Why would it? And now, there is a cover-up. No one is suggesting these glyphs depict contemporary life in China, Japan, or anywhere else. This site describes glyph meanings, not people. These glyphs however, describe many and various things, including people, long before there were any notions of becoming politically incorrect. The question to be answered is, should these glyphs continue being used, by anyone, anywhere, for expressing language? (More...) Despite how bad the human world is today, do you actually believe that the so-called good old days were any better? Or they could only have been worse?

By the way, with a limited number of the same elements used by the sages again and again to form these glyphs, you should expect to find the same explanations again and again, as tedious as that may become, and as an inherent trait of any dictionary. This site explains the dual meanings of glyphs most often ignored by other sources that provide you with only the sanctioned definition, generally.
